About Pilates
The Pilates method was developed over 100 years ago by Joseph Pilates 1881-1967. His technique unites mind and body to improve strength, flexibility, mobility, overall health and a sense of well-being. The Pilates method is designed to restore balance to the body and develop efficiency in movement. The technique is particularly helpful in uncovering areas of imbalance in the body, working to correct this can help to prevent injury. Classes will focus on specific areas individually, whilst also using exercises that integrate the whole body to re-educate and restore it to optimum function.

The Studio
We Specialise in personalised private, semi-private and small group classes on the Pilates equipment.

Using all the apparatus in the studio we can suit the individual needs of each client. The equipment provides resistance to challenge the body, increasing strength and flexibility. It can also be used to rehabilitate and provide support after injury. It is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.
Regardless of age, ability or fitness level Pilates can help everyone.

Sessions are run in small groups. Clients spend periods of time on all of the equipment, performing a wide variety of exercises to suit their individual needs at their own pace.

Duet Classes
This is a private session shared between two people.
